Nathan Kelley

Nathan Kelley serves as the CFO of Blazer Building and is responsible for capital markets, portfolio asset management, investor reporting, risk management and governmental affairs as well as co-leading the development and construction efforts of the company.

Since joining Blazer in 2012, Nathan has led the development of affordable multi-family housing, independent senior living, and conventional apartments. Nathan’s responsibilities include site identification, design coordination, structuring of debt and equity capital for new developments and the recapitalization of existing developments. He has also facilitated the disposition of numerous developments and has experience in 9% and 4% Housing Tax Credits, HOME, CDBG and other affordable housing financing tools. Nathan has also been instrumental in improving the operating performance of Blazer’s portfolio.

Prior to joining Blazer, Nathan was Vice President for Regions Financial. During his seven-year tenure, he was actively involved in underwriting, structuring and origination of over $1 billion of commercial real estate credit.

Nathan received his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University and his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management of Information Systems from Texas A&M University.

Nathan is a Past President of the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers, Trustee of the Houston Region Business Coalition, a committee Chairman for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, a Board member of the Houston Apartment Association, an active member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church and the Urban Land Institute. He resides in Houston with his wife Jamie and their two daughters.
